The 31/30 Fitness Experiment asks you to workout for 31 consecutive days, for 30 minutes each day, at your current fitness level and not beyond it. It invites you to strive to enjoy working out for 31 days in a row.

Use my colorful and easy-to-complete tracking sheet to see your progress in real-time and to keep yourself motivated.

Start anytime, on any day. Start RIGHT NOW.

This experiment is a way for people who "hate exercise" to build a consistent movement habit and learn how to enjoy physical fitness. By making workouts just right, fun, and shorter, instead of insufferable or too difficult, you can focus on finding the types of activities you actually enjoy and can fully understand your current fitness level before increasing the difficulty. The type of workout is up to you, but the rules are, whatever you do, you shouldn't feel pain, misery, or exhaustion after or during, nor should you dread doing the activity.

I shared my results, details, and experience doing the 31/30 Fitness Experiment here.

This 31/30 method will help you to avoid quitting, which often happens when we make things too challenging or miserable for ourselves from the get-go instead of taking things slow and making them fast and pleasurable.

It's much easier to find 30 minutes in your day than 60 minutes, and you can still see positive results and build a new habit.

Use this tracking sheet for 31 days by filling in the circles to track your progress and motivate yourself to continue. Then, when the 31 days are up, you can increase the difficulty of what you're doing, reprint the sheet, or just keep going.

Any safe physical activity is better than no physical activity. In my post linked above, I recommend free and paid workouts that can be customized easily to your fitness level.

Walking counts as a workout if that is all you can comfortably do or are just starting out.
